Reginald looks around the factory for his best friend Buster. People are bustling through the aisles, hurrying to their seats before the shift begins. The supervisors are already standing by the printing machines. Reginald braces himself for the harsh ringing of the bell that signals the start of the workday to all of the members of the community.
Where is Buster? It's nearly 8:00 and their usual seats in aisle 7 are empty. Why isn't he here yet? He had already left their room by the time Reginald woke up. Could he have been reassigned? Surely he would've said something about it. Buster isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's a considerate guy and a good friend.
Reginald continues to search for his roommate, and a moment later he spots Buster near the restroom doors talking to some new guy. Maybe Buster doesn't want to sit with Reginald anymore. Maybe the new guy is just way cooler than he is. What should he do? Should he go and try to talk to the two of them or sit down at his spot? There are only two minutes left until the start of the morning shift. He can't be late.
