Can someone explain how to load a disc into Euphoric without booting it. I want to look in the directory and load a specific file. First time ever I'm using the Oric.

You might be better off using Oricutron. In this case, you just right-click and load a disk image from the shortcut menu.

Problem is the program starts automatically after loading. I use !LOAD"filename.bas" . Is there a way to prevent this?
