Re: Editing user profile not working?
still ain't working.
although I did have the pleasure of seeing my CASA forum (not CASA main site) profile, which I had totally forgotten about and which is funny
I also just wrote to Strident telling him that I like his Hallowe'en game and it has two typos.
OK I'm done with this thread, thanks for ...

Re: Editing user profile not working?
Equinox, I take it you mean editing your profile on the main site (solutionarchive.com) rather than on the forum (solutionarchive.com/phpBB3)?
I've just tried editing my profile on the main site and it allowed me to add (and delete) a "favourite platform" without problem. So you might have faced ...

Editing user profile not working?
I visit my profile while logged in, and under Personal Settings I fill in "Location" and "Favourite platforms", and click Save.

Re: Tourist Trouble (Spectrum) solution is wrong
You are on the right track. You need to WEAR RING first, but the right words then are SAY AMEN instead of PRAY.
Thanks. The rest of the solution was okay, except in the white marble room you have to GET SWORD (she forgot to mention this) and, in order to GET BOOK at the end, you have to drop ...

Tourist Trouble (Spectrum) solution is wrong
Dorothy Millard's solution to Tourist Trouble (ZX Spectrum) is defective:
https://solutionarchive.com/file/id%2C6926/
At this point, it tells you to go UP, but you cannot go that way:
... EXAMINE RING, U (to ledge) ...
Also the ring's inscription is "Faith can move mountains" (not "Fate..." as ...

Re: Importing Spectrum solutions from Tipshop
I've added a batch of your solutions & maps from the past few years on Tipshop (focussing on ones we didn't already have material for). That's all that I'll personally be doing, so feel free to submit any additional ones in the usual way.
Thank you!
It's literally a case of minimising work, isn ...

Re: Spectrum solution errors: Solaris (part 2)
If I read the map correctly it suggests that you keep going north repeatedly from the life boat to get to the computer. (Not sure why some links between rooms are marked with single or double arrows, and others have no arrow. The map has no key.)
That does not appear to work.
So I will upload part 1 ...

Using this solution for part 2:

GET COMPUTER does not work: there is no computer in the location (and I can't find one nearby: hard to tell though because of lots of identical "bleak wasteland" locations).

Re: Importing Spectrum solutions from Tipshop
Yes, I see, somebody's work is going to be doubled somewhere, whether it's the submitter, or CASA, or the non-CASA site.
Well, tips and maps credited to "Eq" (or similar names, Equinox etc.) on Tipshop are my own. I was going to link you to the updates page:

Importing Spectrum solutions from Tipshop
The Tipshop (a Spectrum cheats and solutions site) seems to have some agreement with CASA where they borrow and republish your solutions.
