Synopsis

You are standing bewildered on the jetty where the ferryman dropped you. The wind, rain, and swelling rapids expedited his exit and hampered his weak aim as he cast your heavy bag to the dock. Now the icy water has swallowed all your possessions and left you with nothing but the clothes on your back--rags that you wore only to disguise your wealth.

After pausing to muse over the old saying about dressing for the job you wanted, you decide if you ever meet up with the ferryman one day, you will repay his service and give him a dressing down to the edge of his life. Until then, you solace yourself under the warming thought that after long decades of boredom, finally, a new adventure awaits.
